Freelance Travel Operations Assistant (Part-time)

About Llama Adventures

Llama Adventures is a Dutch travel company specialising in tailor-made trips through Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. We create unique travel experiences for travellers from the Netherlands, working closely with trusted local partners across South America. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive and reliable Travel Operations Assistant to support our daily operations.

Main responsibilities

• Assist travellers via WhatsApp before and during their trip.
• Coordinate bookings with hotels, transfer providers, guides and other local partners.
• Prepare detailed travel quotations tailored to travellers’ preferences and requirements.
• Create personalised travel documents and travel booklets for clients before departure.
• Monitor reservations and ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
• Support day-to-day travel operations and client coordination.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who enjoys creating smooth travel experiences and making sure every detail is taken care of.

• Fluent Spanish.
• Fluent English.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and structured way of working.
• Able to stay calm and professional under pressure.
• Able to work independently, take initiative and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable taking ownership and solving problems.
• Experience in tourism, hospitality or customer service is a plus.
• Affinity with travel, storytelling and social media content is a plus.

Working schedule

• Approximately 10–20 hours per week, depending on travel volume and business needs. The workload may vary throughout the year, with busier and quieter periods.
• Working days are flexible and not limited to Monday–Friday. Weekend availability may occasionally be required, with days off scheduled during the week instead. Availability during two specific weekends in October 2026 will be required.
• Availability during Peruvian business hours is expected, with occasional support outside regular working hours in case of urgent travel-related situations.

This is a remote freelance position. Candidates must have their own laptop, a reliable internet connection, and a mobile phone for WhatsApp communication with travellers.

Candidates must be based in Lima, as the role involves close collaboration with local partners and occasional in-person meetings.
